    • Approval of February 1 meeting minutes  
    • Introduction of full Council membership
      1. New member appointments:
        1. Laura McCulloch, Liaison, Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health – appointed by the County Commission 1.27.21
        2. Sarah Chenoweth, Liaison, Sustainability Advisory Board – appointed by the City Commission 2.9.21
        3. Ashley Hornberger, Agricultural Producer – appointed by the County Commission 2.10.21
        4. Cody Haynes, Local Food Economy sector – appointed by the County Commission 2.10.21
    • Budget overview: $5,584.43 balance for 2021
      1. Consider allocating funding to send member(s) to the National Anti-Hunger Policy Conference – March 16-18 @ $75 / person
      2. Consider proposal for consultant to identify metrics and research tools for Food System Plan reporting
        1. $1,000 request to the FPC
        2. Staff seeking remaining $5,000 balance from the County budget

        1. Motion to approve sponsoring up to 3 Council members by Marlin, second by Elizabeth. Motion passes.
      2. Consider proposal for consultant to identify metrics and research tools for Food System Plan reporting
        1. $1,000 request to the FPC
        2. Staff seeking remaining $5,000 balance from the County budget 
          1. Request tabled in order to reexamine scope needed from third party work
          2. Consider initial internal work done by Sustainability Office (such as, research of other comparable plan tracking tools and documentation), working groups to (such as, identify Policy points within their Goal areas to track), and ad hoc planning group of Council members (such as, formulate scope, roles, third party needs, and timeline).

        1. Discussed priorities of farm succession, support for County Farmers Market, and other direct to consumer outlets.
      3. Heath Equity
        1. Discussed priorities of meeting accessibility, proposing budget uses for equity goals and building community capacity in addition to member capacity.
