9:00 a.m. -Election Canvass of the General Election
November 15, 2018
Thellman called the special meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 with Commissioners Thellman, Gaughan and Derusseau present. The purpose of the Special Meeting was to canvass the results of the General Election held on November 6, 2018.
After discussion and review of the K.S.A. Statute 25-1122(g) regarding the day preceding an election closure time on the “recommended not-to-count” provisional ballot for arrival after 12:00 p.m., Gaughan moved to accept one thousand three hundred seventy-six (1,376) provisional ballots as recommended by the County Clerk; to not count four hundred eighty (480) ballots as recommended by the County Clerk; and to count the two (2) ballots regarding time with no recommendation by the County Clerk. Motion was seconded by Derusseau and carried 3-0.

Thellman moved to accept the write-in ballots as recommended by the County Clerk. Motion was seconded by Derusseau and carried 3-0.
Thellman moved to accept the results of the canvass and to adjourn the meeting subject to any changes due to provisional ballots affecting the outcome of any race. Motion was seconded by Gaughan and carried 3-0
