9:00 a.m. - General Election Canvass.
November 16, 2017
Gaughan called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 with Commissioners Gaughan and Thellman present. The purpose of the Special Meeting was to canvass the results of the General Election held on November 7, 2017. Gaughan moved to appoint Jim Flory, retired County Commissioner, to fill the canvass position of Commissioner Michelle Derusseau. Motion was seconded by Thellman and carried 2-0.
Gaughan moved to accept Two Hundred Sixty-Seven (267) provisional ballots as recommended by the County Clerk; to not count Fifty (50) ballots as recommended by the County Clerk; and to not count the Three (3) ballots regarding time with no recommendation by the County Clerk. Motion was seconded by Flory and carried 3-0.

Thellman moved to accept the write-in ballots as recommended by the County Clerk. Motion was seconded by Gaughan and carried 3-0.
Gaughan moved accept the results of the canvass and to adjourn the meeting subject to any changes due to provisional ballots affecting the outcome of any race. Motion was seconded by Thellman and carried 3-0
