9:00 a.m. Mail Election Canvass.
May 11, 2017
Gaughan called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 with Commissioners Gaughan and Derusseau present. Gaughan moved to appoint Paula Gilchrist, Douglas County Treasurer, to fill in the canvass position of Commissioner Nancy Thellman in her absence. The purpose of the Special Meeting was to canvass the results of the Mail Ballot Election held on May 2, 2017. Motion was seconded by Derusseau and carried 2-0.
Gaughan moved to count thirty-two (32) provisional ballots as recommended by the County Clerk, and to not count five hundred twenty-one (521) provisional ballots as recommended by the County Clerk. Motion was seconded by Derusseau and carried 3-0.

Gaughan moved accept the recommended results of the canvass and to adjourn the meeting subject to any changes due to provisional ballots affecting the outcome of any race. Motion was seconded by Derusseau and carried 3-0
