Flory called the budget meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, with all members present.
BUDGET 07-08-15
The Board conducted 2016 budget hearings.
Thellman proposed immediate funding to the Community Shelter in the amount of $50,000 from the 2015 budget contingent upon the City of Lawrence continued participation preceding any additional funding; and with the condition County Administrator, Craig Weinaug, be placed as an ex officio member of the Community Shelter Board so the County would have representation to any changes made. She would like to see progress at the shelter in consideration for further funding. She suggested the City also have representation on the Community Shelter Board.
After discussion, it was the consensus of the Board to approve the above proposed one-time emergency funding to the Community Shelter with the listed conditions.
Flory moved to adjourn the meeting; Gaughan seconded and the motion carried 3-0.
